Packet

The LCC Math 25 Packet has been written over many years using contributions from many LCC math instructors. It was dramatically rewritten during Fall 2007. Currently I am the math instructor responsible for maintaining the LCC Math 25 Packet although many instructors still contribute.

This packet is a workbook designed to fit with the paperback book The Only Math Book You'll Ever Need, by Stanley Kogelman and Barbara Heller.

The current version can be downloaded below. Please note that it is much less expensive for a Math 25 student to purchase this packet at the LCC Bookstore than to pay for the paper and ink involved in printing it at home. The packet is available online to share it with math instructors at other colleges and to allow students considering Math 25 to see what the class is about.

There are also files for only instructors to see that are not available online:

  • an answer key for all homework and interlude problems, with most problems shown step-by-step
  • a text file to tell a website such as Moodle or Blackboard how to automatically grade all homework.
  • sample tests and practice tests, and a spreadsheet that randomly generates new tests

Instructors using the packet for the first time may wish to read my advice for that situation.
