Naturally, there is no best way to make French Toast. This way makes an especially savory version, which I enjoy both plain or with jam.
Preheat a griddle. The outisde griddle on a grill works great on medium heat. An electric griddle should be set to 375 degreees.
This recipe makes enough batter for 8 slices of bread.
In a flat-bottomed pan or bowl, beat all the batter ingredients together with a fork:
Soak both sides of a slice of bread in the batter. Cook on the griddle, turning once!
