David and Pop-Pop's Europe Trip
Luzern, Switzerland
Luzern has a very famous monument.
It also has many different churches, each impressive in a different way.
The Catholic cathedral was huge and made of bright marble.
The Jesuit church was even more bright and baroque.
The Franciscan church alternaed white marble with grey stonework trim.
Today has been odd. Pop-Pop and I enjoyed seeing the contrasts between the cathedral, Jesuit church, Franciscan church, and a St. Peter's church in Luzern.
The city of Luzern has many statues and paintings of Poseidon, as depicted in the single statue we saw in Innsbruck. The churches all favor the pyramid-and-eye symbol, the letters HIS, green stained glass, and wood or stone carvings instead of paintings when compared to the others we have seen.
But I said today is odd, and that is because today it seems the trip (pre-London) is beginning to finish, instead of the normal relentless continuation.
